The district administration has launched online home delivery services of vegetables and fruits on government fixed prices under vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Divisional Commissioner Ishrat Ali inaugurated of this home delivery system during a ceremony held at General Bus Stand. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali, AC Umar Maqbul, SSP Operation Syed Ali Raza and other officers were also present on the occasion.

This online service delivery has been introduced initially in the interior city area to facilitate the citizens and five points at General Bus Stand, D Ground Peoples Colony, Jinnah Colony, Gulistan Colony and Vegetable Market have been established for the home delivery of vegetable and fruits.

The "Durast Daam App" has been floated to place the request for supplying fruit & vegetables at door steps. The condition has been fixed to purchase the fruit & vegetables of minimum Rs. 500/- and reaction time would be taken half hour to deliver the vegetable & fruit at home. The daily price list of vegetable & fruit would be available on this App. The citizens could also place request for home delivery system service of vegetable & fruits on telephone No.03091678879, 03476111868, 03137268149.

Inaugurating the online home delivery system, Commissioner Ishrat Ali said that it was a remarkable and revolutionary step of district administration under direction of PM Imran Khan and CM Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar for providing the fruit & vegetables to the citizens not only govt. fixed price but also citizens could also get different fruits & vegetables by sitting at their homes.

He said that divisional and district administration had taken a number of steps to control the price hike of essential items for providing the every possible economic relief to the consumers. He said that price mechanism was being implemented in letter & spirit and regular monitoring of vegetable & grain markets was being carried out to check the unjustified price hike.

He advised the officers of district administration to utilize all resources to make online delivery system a success. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali informed that this project had been started with the support of local group of industries which would be expended in future keeping in view the response of the citizens. He said that planning was also being devised for online home delivery service of other essential items including poultry. He informed that the staff would be ready for online home delivery service with their motorbikes.
