Futures spread down by 614 basis points

The futures spread declined by 614bps to 2.63 percent on the last day of the outgoing week. Trading activities on the futures counter remained thin as average daily volumes decreased by 58.4 percent to stand at 80.76 million shares as compared to previous week's average of 194.20 million shares. Average daily trading value on the futures counter declined by 53.0 percent during this week and stood at Rs 3.23 billion.
