PM Imran Khan convenes govt economic team meeting today

Prime Minister Imran Khan has convened meeting of government economic team on Thursday, to review country’s economic situation.
As per details, the economic team would brief PM Imran Khan on the economic situations. The team would brief regarding the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) and would bring in light the economic measures taken.
Cases pending in the courts of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will also be in the meeting agenda.
It is pertinent to inform, that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) executive board will meet with Pakistan authorities’ today (Thursday), to consider the staff level report and approval of second tranche of about $450 million under the $6 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
The IMF has earlier said that Pakistan has met all prior actions and performance criteria under the $6 billion program.
