Fazlur Rahman's 'Plan B'

After ending his 13-day sit-in at Islamabad's Peshawar Morr neighbourhood Maulana Fazl's protest is quite visible across the country as his supporters are now blocking highways and thoroughfares, severely hampering the movement of traffic.

That his protest is likely to take a violent turn is a strong possibility. Not only has a visibly disappointed and embittered Fazl remained unsuccessful to force prime minister Imran Khan to resign, he has also failed to attract diverse sections of society to his sit-in protest in the federal capital. But there is no denying the fact that Fazl is one of the most astute politicians in the history of the country; he's widely known for his prudence. The question now therefore is: Will an embittered Fazl employ violent means to send his message across?
