Divisional Commissioner Mehmud Javed Bhatti received World Champion snooker player Muhammad Asif at his office who has reached Faisalabad after winning the World Champion Trophy. This championship was played in Turkey and players of 44 countries of the world participated in this championship.
He said that Muhammad Asif had enlightening the name of Pakistan and Faisalabad by winning the world title in snooker. He said that the players from Faisalabad were pride of this soul who had achieved world reward in different games.
The Commissioner said that the capable payers would be encouraged and divisional administration were providing all out facilities for promotion and development of the sports to bring the youth in the playgrounds. He prayed for more success for Muhammad Asif who had achieved this title twice. Commissioner awarded Muhammad Asif cash prize of one lac and gave him different gifts.
Muhammad Asif thanked Divisional Commissioner for warm welcome and said that he had won this title by the prayers of the Nation despite health issue he had played with national enthusiasm and committed to raise the name of Pakistan.
