On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,314. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.228 billion and the numbers of lots traded 6,670.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 1.569 billion, followed by WTI Crude Oil PKR 754.578 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 243.651 million, NSDQ100 PKR 164.532 million, DJ PKR 132.249 million, Silver PKR 127.348 million, Platinum PKR 117.400 million, Natural Gas PKR 48.427 million, Palladium PKR 27.461 million, SP500 PKR 21.986 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 14.954 million and Copper PKR 6.248 million. In agriculture commodities one lot of Soybean amounting to PKR 7.211 million and 2 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 0.988 million were traded.
