  • The PCB has offered Sri Lanka cricket board to play a Test in Rawalpindi.
  • Both teams are scheduled to meet for two Test series in December.

There have reportedly been positive developments between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) for the Pakistan Sri Lanka Test Series.

As per reports, the PCB has offered Sri Lanka to play a Test in Rawalpindi. The proposal comes after the completing of successful ODI and T20 series, between the two sides increasing the prospects of the Pakistan-Sri Lanka Test series.

The PCB reportedly offered Sri Lanka to play a Test in Rawalpindi, this was done due to weather constraints in Lahore in the month of December and the second Test would be played in Karachi. Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka cricket security delegation will be visiting Pakistan next month.

Earlier, Sri Lankan coach Rumesh Ratnayake expressed optimism that his players will return to Pakistan soon after the recent successful limited overs tour. “We'll certainly explain that to them and they'll have seen it as well. We'll try and convince them as much as we can, but we cannot enforce anything. Hopefully, they've changed by seeing this series be so successful,” said Ratnayake.

The inexperienced Sri Lankan team ended their tour of Pakistan on high, after they completed a 3-0 clean-sweep of their Twenty20 series over world’s number one ranked Pakistan on Wednesday with a 13-run victory in Lahore Gaddafi Stadium.

Both sides are scheduled to play a two Test series in December.
