Another ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel series in works

• Prequel of the hugely popular fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’ is in works that will focus on House Targaryen.
• The project set roughly 300 years before events depicted in the original GoT series.
• HBO has earlier announced another related prequel that will set 1000 years before the GoT and will star Naomi Watts in the lead role.

Another prequel of the hugely popular fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’ is in works which will be set 300 years before the events in ‘Game of Thrones’, and tracks the beginning of the end for House Targaryen.

Reportedly, the new cast will be announced in 2020.

According to a Deadline report, GOT author George RR Martin is working on a project set roughly 300 years before events depicted in the series. This prequel will have a major House Targaryen connection.

Though HBO has declined to comment yet but Author Martin had previously hinted via his blog that one of the prequel series would be based on the companion book ‘Fire and Blood’.

HBO has already announced another related prequel that takes place thousands of years before ‘Game of Thrones’ starring Naomi Watts. It will focus on the early days of the Stark family, the origin of the evil White Walkers and the Age of Heroes.
