Police visit Sonakshi Sinha’s house in cheating case
A team of officials from the Uttar Pradesh (UP) police visited Sonakshi Sinha's house in Juhu on Thursday in connection with a case of cheating filed against her.
Last year, an event organiser had accused the actress of not turning up for an event at the last moment after accepting a booking amount. Sonakshi couldn’t attend the event and hence an FIR was filed against her by one of the organisers.
The Juhu police confirmed the same and stated that UP police had asked them for support. It is also being said that they wanted to record her statement but she wasn’t there at home. The police can revisit her place again for the same.
The spokesperson of Sonakshi has rubbished the news and stated that the accusations are false and baseless.
The spokesperson told Mumbai Mirror, "In her nine-year-long career, she has only worked with complete honesty and sincerity. What this man is accusing her of is completely untrue and baseless. This is just a way of extortion by maligning her spot-free reputation in the press and it is not something that Sonakshi and her team will succumb to. She is a thorough professional and we have been more than cooperative with whichever authorities that have gotten in touch with us because we have nothing to hide."
Sonakshi also dismissed cheating charges against her and said that accuser is only maligning her 'crystal clear' image in the press.
