Man found dead in theatre while watching ‘Annabelle Comes Home’

An elderly British man was found dead in the early hours of Wednesday inside a movie theatre at a Pattaya shopping mall after watching the horror movie ‘Annabelle Comes Home’.

Bernard Wilfred Channing, 78, was discovered dead inside a movie theatre. According to foreign media reports, Channing appeared to be alone and had been sitting next to a Thai movie goer who only discovered the man had died when the movie finished. The 78-year-old British national was in Thailand on vacation.

Police said that Bernard's body had been taken to the hospital in the Banglamung district where a postmortem examination would be performed to establish how he died. “From the preliminary investigation it was not known how the foreign man had died but doctors will conduct an autopsy to establish the true cause of death,” the police official said.
