After ‘Dostana 2’, B-Town’s new sequel king Kartik Aaryan bags ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’

Kartik Aaryan has become one of the Bollywood’s favorite choice for every other movie. Last week it was revealed that the actor has bagged ‘Dostana’ sequel and now he reportedly has ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ in his kitty as he replaces Akshay Kumar in the horror comedy flick.

Speaking about it, a source told Mumbai Mirror that Kartik will play the lead in this sequel to 2007 hit comedy. “While the makers have locked the idea, the script is still to be finalised. But the idea was shared with Kartik who liked it and has agreed to take the franchise forward with the story set in a metropolis”.

The source added, “The director will be locked in a few days, following which they will decide on the leading lady and the rest of the cast. Bhushan Kumar always wanted to continue with Bhool Bhulaiyaa and is invested in the film. He is looking to start filming by the year-end”.

Directed by Priyadarshan, the original 2007 movie had Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Ameesha Patel, Shiney Ahuja among other actors.

Kartik has already signed a lot of sequels and remakes including ‘Pati Patni and Woh’ with Ananya Panday and Bhumi Padnekar, ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’ with Sara Ali Khan and ‘Dostana 2’ with Janhvi Kapoor.
