‘Completely fit’ Hafeez to be seen in action soon: Inzamam

Pakistan cricket team chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has announced that veteran all rounder Mohammad Hafeez is ‘completely fit’ and would seen be in action.

“We would soon see Mohammad Hafeez in action, as per our report Hafeez is completely fit,” said Inzamam while talking to media. Hafeez was recovering from a thumb injury, which the cricketer sustained during the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in February.

Speaking about leg-spinner Shadab Khan, who was opted out of the England tour after he was tested positive for hepatitis C, the chief selector informed that they are hopeful to see Shadab return in the World Cup 2019. “We have received positive reports about the fitness of Shadab Khan and hope that he will be fit in time for the World Cup,” he said.

Inzamam further said that players who would put up a good show, during the ongoing series against England, might cement their spot for the upcoming mega tournament. “We have already announced the team for World Cup, but if someone plays well then we would consider him, however, it is too early to comment at the moment,” said Inzamam.

With the five match series 1-0, Pakistan would take on the host England in the third One Day International (ODI) on Tuesday at Bristol.
