KARACHI: President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerces and Industries (FPCCI), Engr. Daroo Khan Achakzai has announced that the FPCCI will host 29th meeting of Board of Directors of Islamic Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) in Karachi in October 2019. The decision was taken in BoDs meeting of ICCIA at Cairo on March 4, said a FPCCI release here on Wednesday.
He said that the FPCCI will also organize an investment forum on the sidelines of the BoD meeting and it will invite investors from several countries specially the Islamic countries, which will be followed by B2B meetings/networking. FPCCI is also considering a proposal to hold 1st Islamic countries exhibition at Karachi as a sideline event.
The BoD meeting of Islamic CCIA is taking place in Pakistan after a lapse of two decades. Therefore, FPCCI has planned to turn this meeting into a mega business event.
It will not only enhance the positive image of Pakistan but will also provide ample opportunities to Pakistani exporters and other businesses to interact with their foreign counterparts for cooperation and joint ventures.?Reuters
