Regional Tax Office (RTO)-II has witnessed 30 percent growth in overall revenue collection during the tax period of August 2019 as compared to last corresponding month.
The tax department by collecting Rs 18.797 billion has not only surpassed its monthly budgetary target of Rs 18.784 billion by Rs 13 million but also showed 30 percent growth in overall revenue collection as against the collection of Rs 13.205 billion made during August, 2018.
Similarly, the department has also gone over its monthly income tax revenue target by Rs 7 million and collected Rs 17.56 billion in August, which is 31 percent higher than the collection of Rs 12.179 billion made in last preceding month.
Moreover, the department has also shown 17 percent growth in the collection made from sales tax and received Rs 1.225 billion as against Rs 1.02 billion collected in Aug, 2018.
