Four robbers on Wednesday night robbed a residence in Dastagir area of the metropolis as they approached the house dressed in police uniforms. The woman, among the impostors, knocked the main door and told the family that they had to search the house.
Once they entered, all family members were held as hostages and meanwhile the entire home was robbed. Cash, jewellery, cell phones and other expensive items were all robbed.
According to the affected family, the suspects had arrived in a white corolla and also departed in the same vehicle. Police have said that the culprits will be apprehended with the help of evidence after they lodge an FIR.
