The Outpatient Department (OPD) and Operation Theater (OT) services have resumed across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as doctors end strike on Wednesday. The protesting doctors met KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and after successful talks decided to end their strike. Doctors had been protesting in government hospitals across KP for the past six days because Associate Professor Dr Ziauddin blamed provincial Health Minister Hisham Inamullah Khan for attacking him.
According to the details, the first committee will comprise doctors, officials of KP government and Health department which will monitor reforms at the District Headquarters (DHQ) and the Regional Health Authority (RHA).
The second committee will bring forward the facts after conducting inquiry of the unpleasant incident, and will be headed by Peshawar Deputy Commissioner (DC).
The committees will submit their report within a month.
Meanwhile, KP Health Minister Dr Hasham Inamullah Khan welcomed the removal of reservation of the protesting doctors under leadership of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan.
He said that the health reforms under leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan aimed at to provide best healthcare facilities to the people.
He said the government wants to ensure cheap and standardized health treatment to the people by the health reforms. He said that government's top priority is to provide security and other facilities.
