The Sindh Police has initiated steps to provide quality education for the children of in-service and martyred police officials at different institutions either free of cost or on a 50 percent fee discount here in the metropolis.
The provincial police have signed separate Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with schools, colleges and universities at a ceremony held in the Central Police Office (CPO) enabling a number of students to acquire quality education on concessionary fee expenditures.
Provincial Police Chief Dr Kalim Imam has appreciated AIG Welfare Sindh Dr Rizwan Ahmad to reach the agreement with educational institutions saying provision of quality education amongst youth is crucial for the progress of the nation.
A Sindh police spokesman while sharing the details of MoUs said that Crescent Group of Public School has agreed to give free education among all children of martyred police personnel while children of in-service officials will be offered 50 percent fee concession.
'The Educator School' will provide free education amongst 200 children of martyred police official and 200 children of in-service personnel on 50 percent fee concession. Similarly, Allied School has committed to provide free education to 38 students, while 76 students on a 75 percent fee discount. Aziz Millat School will teach 12 students free of cost while 50 students on a 50 percent fee.
Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology will fix quota of four seats - two for the children of martyred and two for in-service police officials.
Those who signed MoUs were Malik Amir from the Educator, Naveed Shams from Allied School, Muhammad Noor from Aziz Millat, Muhammad Anwar Chushti from Maryam School, Malik Abdul Aziz from Crescent Group of School and Engineer Syed Sarfaraz Ali Shah represented Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology.
