The Supreme Court on Wednesday fixed a petition, filed by a former judge of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui against his dismissal by Supreme Judicial Council, for March 25. A five-member larger bench of the apex court headed by Justice Mushir Alam and comprising Justice Tariq Masood, Justice Ejazul Ahsan, Justice Mazhar Alam, and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah will hear the case on March 25 at 01:00pm.
In October last, President Arif Alvi had removed Siddiqui as IHC judge on the recommendation of the Supreme Judicial Council (SCJ) - the top body to hear cases of misconduct against judges.
