On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,718. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 11.552 billion and the number of lots traded 13,454.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 4.907 billion followed by NSDQ100 PKR 3.338 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.393 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.085 billion, platinum PKR 359.190 million, silver PKR 192.097 million, DJ PKR 111.266 million, SP500 PKR 68.420 million, natural gas PKR 46.519 million, Brent crude oil PKR 45.451 million and copper PKR 4.822 million.
In agriculture commodities 77 lots of cotton valued at PKR 74.161 million and 16,650 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 4.378 million were traded.
