Google pays tribute to Pakistan’s first cricket captain Kardar on his birthday
The world's largest search engine, Google, has paid tribute to Pakistan cricket's first Test captain Abdul Hafeez Kardar on his 94th birthday.
The late cricketer Kardar, being Pakistan’s first cricket captain, also holds a unique distinction being one of the only three players to have played Test cricket for both India and Pakistan, the other two being Amir Elahi and Gul Mohammad.
Kardar is widely regarded as a father figure of Pakistan's cricket and received the Pride of Performance Award from the Government of Pakistan in 1958.

During his captaincy tenure, Pakistan won six, lost six and drew eleven matches in a total of 23 Tests. After retiring from the game he served as the President of Pakistan Board of Control from 1972 to 1977.
