Expressing his discomfort with the pace the government is shaping policies regarding Pakistan entertainment industry
Published Updated

Expressing his discomfort with the pace the government is shaping policies regarding Pakistan entertainment industry, veteran Pakistani actor Shaan Shahid has requested Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to help in making the industry concrete.

Taking to Twitter, Shaan called on the PM asking him to come up with better cultural policies. He said he wants better policy for Pakistani entertainment industry as the industry has a lot more potential in terms of talent.

Meanwhile, Pakistani actor/writer Vasay Chaudhry also announced on Sunday that he will no longer be part of the Punjab Cultural Advisory Council as nothing is being implemented to improve arts and culture of the country.

He was a part of committee along with Shaan and director Syed Noor. The committee was formed three months ago to help formulate policies and legislation required for the development of arts and culture of Pakistan.

In a series of tweets, Vasay expressed his disappointment and said Imran Khan-led government is not giving enough importance to country’s cultural policy, which has been promised before.

He wrote about many suggestions and changes he tried to bring to the cultural policy but nothing is being implemented till yet.
