About 4500 beds have been added in tertiary care hospitals during the last two years besides completion of more than dozen mega projects with a cost of billions of rupees, Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Najam Ahmed Shah, said.
While addressing a meeting, he said that medical equipment including MRI, CT Scan have been provided apart from setting up new laboratories and burn units. "Modern technology has been utilized in construction of hospitals with the cooperation of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and infrastructures development authority," he added.
