ISLAMABAD: Afghan President Hamid Ali Karzai was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival at the Aiwan-e-Sadr Thursday afternoon.
The Afghan President who is here for the Pakistan-Afghanistan- Iran trilateral summit was received by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at the President House.
National anthems of the two countries were played.
The Afghan President was presented a salute by a contingent of the three armed forces. The Afghan President reviewed the guard of honour.
President Zardari introduced the cabinet members to the visiting dignitary, and President Karzai introduced members of his delegation.
The two leaders left for bilateral talks to be followed by delegation-level talks.
