On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,504. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 7.894 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,430.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.772 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.627 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.616 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 796.115 million, platinum PKR 359.868 million, DJ PKR 351.932 million, silver PKR 165.777 million, copper PKR 68.904 million, natural gas PKR 53.177 million, Brent PKR 51.071 million and SP500 PKR 30.855 million.
In agriculture, 68lots of cotton amounting to PKR 43.514 million were traded.
