Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer, Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan has called for an across-the-board accountability to prove that there are no "sacred cows". Mushtaq Ahmad in a press statement issued here on Saturday said that accountability of a family was being carried out by alleging them, leaving big fishes in the country. He said the 436 people should be declared guilty and must be given sentence to them, who were included in Panama leaks.
He said the people including their name in Panama, London and Dubai leaks were godfather of corruption, adding JI would bring back all the looted money to the country, if the party would come to power in the general elections. Senator Mushtaq Ahmad said those people who were involved in trivial crime/robbery were given sentence for several years, but the certified looters of national exchequer who shifted wealth to other countries were given protocol, besides taking full benefit from amnesty scheme to white their black money.
JI leader said the pace of accountability of looters by the Supreme Court was very slow, which had broken the hopes of masses of the country. He urged Chief Justice Supreme Court Justice Saqib Nisar to hold accountability of all corrupt people and order them to bring back all looted wealth to the country and give them exemplary punishment.
JI leader said the country could not be put on path of development until accountability of the corrupt people. He said the Pakistan can only get progress with ruthless and conduct of 'across the board' accountability.
