On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,464. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 4.102 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,285.
Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 1.103 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 913.093 million, gold PKR 799.832 million, SP500 PKR 397.758 million, silver PKR 265.033 million, DJ PKR 197.226 million, platinum PKR 178.206 million, NSDQ100 PKR 90.340 million, natural gas PKR 81.223 million, Brent PKR 52.149 million and copper PKR 24.964 million.
In agriculture, 3 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.477 million were traded.
