Former federal minister and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader, Mohammad Khan Hoti has demanded of the government to immediately increase the rate of sugarcane as well as ensure to purchase by all sugar mills from the farmers on the government fixed rate. Speaking at a news conference at Mardan Press Club, Hoti strongly criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan for his double standard politics. He said that Imran Khan was promised to frame pro-farmers policies, if he elected to power in the country. But, he added the PTI led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had adopted anti-farmer policy.
"The government has no policy for sugarcane and tobacco crops which are cash crops of over province", he added. He demanded the provincial government to immediately announced farmer friendly policies in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province as PTI chief Imran Khan announced in his speeches in Punjab and Sindh province. He asked the PTI chief Imran Khan to frame pro-farmers policies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Similarly, he said that farmers are also being faced a lot of problems in selling the tobacco. He said that the farmers are compelled to burn their sugarcane crop due to wrong polices of government in KP. PPP leader warned the provincial government that if they failed to solve the farmers issue within 15 days, then the party and farmers of the district will jointly start agitation and protest against the provincial government.
Hoti accused that the claim of Imran Khan that he bring change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health sector and also bring change in police is totally fake claims. He added that PTI provincial government has failed to bring any betterment in the province. He accused that government has allotted license of Pharmaceutical to specific people and does not renew the old license. He added that no one hospital provide free medicine to the patients in the district.
PPP leader said that PTI claimed that they bring change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police but they cheated people of the country through these fake slogans. He added that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has no money to purchase uniform for their Jawans while bribe is also received in the police still and the old police culture in continued in the province.
He accused that PTI lawmakers of Mardan district allegedly receive 11 to 12 percent commission from the contractors in the contracts. He also strongly criticized the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesab Commission and said that they did not take action against the corrupt people of the province. "I have corruption proof of four provincial minister and 100 file of corruption of previous ANP led government and when I assured that NAB and Commission has practically start accountability across-the-board and my trust was established on these institution I will hand over these proofs to these institutions", he claimed.
