The Lahore District Administration on Friday organized a rally against US President Donald Trump's decision of accepting Bait-ul-Muqadas as Israel's capital. The rally started from the DC office and ended at Nasir Bagh. It was led by Commissioner Lahore Division Abdullah Khan Sumbal, Mayor Lahore Colonel Mubashir Javed (retd), Deputy Commissioner Lahore Sumair Ahmed Syed and renowned religious scholars of different sects. People belonging to different walks of life and government officials took part in the rally.
The participants peacefully registered their protest over the American's decision and termed it as an act against the Muslim Ummah. They condemned the US President and chanted slogans against the said decision. They urged upon the international community to develop a collective wisdom against the decision of accepting Bait-ul-Muqadas as Israel's capital and asked them to reject this decision. They also urged the American administration to reverse its decision and stand with the oppressed people of Palestine. The participants acknowledged the Punjab government's decision of standing with the people of Palestine at this critical hour.
