Farhan Saeed opts out of ‘Karachi Se Lahore 3’

After the success of ‘Suno Chanda’, actor Farhan Saeed was all set to make his big screen debut with ‘Karachi Se Lahore 3’, but the actor has chosen his passion for music over films for now.

Even the pictures of Farhan with the cast and crew of the upcoming movie surfaced on social media before the actor decided to step back from the film. However, Director Wajahat Rauf, the man behind 'Karachi Se Lahore' franchise, earlier said, “The news of Farhan being a part of my upcoming movie is not confirmed as yet”.

Farhan, however, in an recent interview to local tabloid Something Haute said that he was indeed offered the movie but he can’t do the film due to his music tours. “I was offered the lead in 'Karachi Se Lahore 3' with Kubra Khan but unfortunately I had to opt out because of my music tours and concerts that I had already committed to,” he said.

Reportedly, the third installment of the film features the original cast of the film, including Ayesha Omar, Shahzad Sheikh and Yasir Hussain reprising their roles. Additionally, Zara Noor Abbas, Asad Siddiqui and Kubra Khan are on board for the film as well.

Both the movies were tagged as a road trip film but this time Karachi Se Lahore is not a road trip movie and will have more comedy than romance. The upcoming film is scheduled to release on Eid-ul-Fitr, next year.
