QUETTA: Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan Mir Jam Kamal Khan Thursday said incumbent government would play its vital role for development of mining sector.

He said projects including roads and infrastructures could be included in upcoming Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for provision of facilities to people of mining area, said press release issue here.

Jam Kamal marked problems related to Mining Industry would be resolved on priority basis, saying that provincial regime would converse with federal government to ensure provision of conveniences to Mining Industry in energy production and tax relaxation.

He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Coal Mines Owners Association called on him at his office here.

Provincial Ministers including Mir Nasibullah Marri, Mir Arif Jan Muhammad Hassani, Malik Naeem Khan Bazai, Secretary Minerals, Secretary Environment and Chairman Balochistan Revenue also were present on the occasion.

The delegation informed the CM about their problems of mining industries and mentioned that the biggest consumption of coal was brick kilns in the province.

The delegation told Jam Kamal that around 1.5 million people linked employments from these industries while Punjab government has closed up bricks for 70 days due to which those people were facing problems regarding their jobs.

They said around 2.5 tones coal was produced from Balochistan in a month, saying that Independent power producers and other large industries import coal and local mining industries have spent lot of money in this regard.

Jam Kamal assured the delegation that all available resources would be utilized to ensure addressing of mining industries' issues on top propriety for interest of people.

Chief Minister said all necessary facilities would be provided to private companies in order to give jobs to local people in province.

He directed official of Environment department to ensure brick kilns owners for utilizing Zig Zag Technology to control pollution in the province.
