Armed robberies witnessed a remarkable rise in the federal capital during the last week as various police stations of the city registered nine cases of robberies wherein armed persons stormed into shops and houses and looted valuables worth million of rupees. According to data gathered by Business Recorder, the most hot spots for armed robbers were within the limits of Koral, Noon, Bhara Kahu and Sihala police stations.
During the last week, Koral police station registered two robbery cases. Muhammad Shahid informed Koral police station that three armed persons entered his shop and snatched mobile phones, cash and registration book of his motor bike. In another incident, Muhammad Asif Ali lodged a complaint with Koral police station that three armed persons entered his shop after injuring his guard and snatched huge amount of cash at gunpoint.
Mehdi Hussain registered a complaint with Noon police station that three armed persons stormed into his shop and looted cash and mobile phone from him at gunpoint. Bilawal Butt informed Bhara Kahu police station that unknown robbers looted cash, mobile phone and other valuables from his shop.
During another incident, Murad Ali Arbab of DHA phase-II lodged a complaint with Sihala police station that unknown armed robbers stormed into his house and took away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables. Shehzad lodged a complaint with Kohsar police station that unknown robbers stole gold ornaments and other necessary documents from his car parked at Sector F-6/1. During another incident, Gulfam lodged a complaint with Khana police station that unknown people stole mobile phones and cash from his house. During the last week, Industrial Area and Aabpara police registered one case each of auto theft while Maragalla police station registered one case of kidnapping.
