On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,055. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.46 billion and the number of lots traded was 17,368. Major business was contributed by gold PKR 3.27 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 2.33 billion, crude oil PKR 1.59 billion, silver PKR 252.33 million and copper PKR 16.06 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities 68,481 lots of Red Chilli amounting to PKR 12.18 million were also traded.
