Traffic police of the city has distributed over 30,000 masks among citizens to protect themselves from smog. Distribution of masks continued on Saturday as well when the City Traffic Officer Tayyab Hafeez Cheema appeared at the Liberty square and distributed masks among motorcyclists, school children and senior citizens. The CTO further warned that the traffic wardens, who perform their duties for eight to 10 hours a day on roads, are heavily exposed to smog, which may lead to health problems. He urged the wardens to wear masks on duty.
The CTO has also distributed cash prizes and certificates among the team members of education team of the city traffic. He said the role of education team is highly appreciable amidst the rising threat of smog.
