At least three persons were killed in separate incidents of firing, while Rangers arrested nine suspects in different operations in the city on Sunday. According to police sources, some unidentified assailants gunned down a man in Defence area. The victim was identified as Irfan.
In another incident, suspected armed men opened fire at a shop in Neelum Colony, killing Haider Ali, while another person, Ibrahim, was shot dead at a public call office in Qayyumabad area.
Meanwhile, Rangers conducted operations in different areas of the city and arrested nine suspected criminals.
According to a Rangers spokesperson, the arrested persons included terrorists and members of gang war and militant groups. Different kinds of weapons, including a submachine gun (SMG), were also recovered from the suspects.
The suspects have been moved to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
