On Tuesday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 5,389 million as compared to PKR 3,382 million reported on Monday. The number of lots traded also increased to 26.94 million from 19.87 million. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,609. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 5,282 million. This was followed by silver (PKR 76.98 million), crude oil (PKR 22.39 million) and cotton (PKR 7.36 million).
