Pakistan Justice Party (PJP) has announced full support for "PML-Q movement" for construction of Kalabagh dam and joining the campaign in this regard. The support was announced by Pakistan Justice Party Chairman Malik Mansab Awan and other leaders during their meeting with PML-Q senior leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at his residence here on Tuesday.
Terming the tenure of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi as a golden era, the PJP delegation praised the measures taken by him as the Chief Minister like provision of quick and cheap justice, betterment and welfare of lawyers. Elahi said on the occasion that immediate and only solution for energy and water problems is Kalabagh dam and internationally reputed experts are supporting it. The PML-Q has launched a movement headed by Moonis Elahi for highlighting the importance of this dam.
He apprised the delegation members about his initiative of launching the prosecution service in Punjab during his tenure and providing employment to about 3000 lawyers and performance of his established Consumer Courts for decision of disputes in three days without any fee. Elahi said that he had got a bill passed through the Punjab Assembly for provision of lawyers' services by the state for poor and deserving people but Shahbaz Sharif government has not given this practical shape till now.
Malik Mansab Awan said on the occasion that not only for the lawyers, Elahi had accomplished many revolutionary and historical steps including Parha Likha Punjab, Rescue 1122 Service, free medicines and free education facilities to all segments of the society particularly common and poor man.
He said PML-N and PTI had raised the slogan for construction of Kalabagh dam but now they are diverting from it and PML-Q is the only party which is fully supporting construction of Kalabagh dam. The PJP delegation included Ahmad Samundar Khan, Hassan Samundar Khan, Saeed Usman, Imran Hussain, Ilyas Qureshi, Shabnam, Azra, Saira and Sara.
