Following the robust profitability of the already transferred rest houses, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is going to hand over 17 more rest houses to the Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) in Galiyat in the second phase. The KP government has also planned to transfer rest houses and properties located in other tourist resorts of the province to TCKP in the third phase.
In the first phase, the KP government had transferred 15 rest houses to the TCKP in Galiyat which has boosted the tourism and the tourists and ordinary citizens are being facilitated to enjoy stay in the rest houses of their choice in the scenic Galiyat region.
Simultaneously, the TCKP has also generated Rs 2 million as revenue from the 15 rest houses in a very short span of time as for the first time in the history of Pakistan a large number of tourists and visitors thronged the scenic resort during the last few weeks. The corporation has prepared a comprehensive operational plan, under which the rest houses can be booked by anybody on market rental rates. The tourists and visitors have hailed the steps taken by the tourism department and the facilities being provided to them during their stay at these rest houses.
