Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said his government had given priority to development in Balochistan as the province would play a central role in progress of the country. Talking to Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch who called on the Prime Minister here at the PM House, he said Balochistan is the main beneficiary of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
CM Balochistan briefed the Prime Minister about the development projects and security situation of the province. The PM said the ongoing projects of Balochistan are being funded on fast track and Gwadar would be linked with main cities of Balochistan so that the country could benefit from its full potential.
The Prime Minister said his government plans to connect Pakistan with Central Asia via Tirmiz and Balochistan would become the central point of economic activity of the whole region. Head of National Party Hasil Bazinjo was also present during the meeting.
