Senior Member of Revenue Punjab Nadeem Ashraf while addressing the full-board meeting of Board of Revenue said that the Board of Revenue Punjab was assigned the revenue target of Rs 39.79 billion for the financial year 2014-15 by the Finance Department against five heads ie Stamp duty, Mutation Fee, CVT, AIT and registration fee.
He said that through hectic efforts and constant monitoring, the Board of Revenue has been able to surpass this revenue target in the recovery for the financial year 2014-15 with actual recovery at Rs 39.96 billion which is 100.4 percent of the target. It is also pertinent that no revision was made in the original target. Nadeem Ashraf also pointed out the record recovery of Rs 21.84 billion has been achieved in the Head of Stamp Duty, whereas for the first time in the history of the province the mark of Rs one billion (ie Rs 1.28 billion) has been crossed in case of Agriculture Income tax.
