The foreigners' security cell would be strengthened further. This was decided in a high level meeting held at the Central Police Office here on Monday. The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, Ghulam Haider Jamali, presided. It reviewed security matters pertaining to Pak China Economic Corridor projects, as well as other projects already going on in Sindh besides the security of the Chinese citizens.
The meeting was informed that Chinese citizens were working at 109 ongoing projects in Sindh. Jamali directed AIG Operations Sindh that a Chinese Desk be established at the AIG Operations and Monitoring Room so as to further strengthen the security of foreigners especially the Chinese. The meeting decided to strengthen further the Foreigners Security Cell and a separate cell is set up for the security of Chinese workers at the Pak-China Economic Corridor projects. A committee was also formed in this regard.
