Katrina Kaif comes to Salman Khan’s rescue

Soon after Priyanka Chopra pulled out from Salman Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Bharat’, the actor and his entire team were left devastated. However, Salu’s ‘close friend’ Katrina Kaif has immediately given her nod to the project, giving some relief to the makers.

The ‘Bharat’ director Ali Abbas Zafar's tweeted few days ago that Priyanka has dropped out of Salman's work-in-progress film for a 'very, very special reason'. The director is now excited to re-team with the actor duo who has recently worked with him in ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.

As per a Mumbai Mirror report, actress Katrina will now be playing the female lead in the film. Zafar told Mirror, “I am extremely excited to work with Katrina and Salman again. We have had exciting collaborations in the past. Katrina got on board in the ‘Nick’ of time for this project.”

Salman Khan also welcome Katrina in his next venture through Twitter.

Reportedly, Katrina will join the team from September onwards, and before that, she will finish all her other work commitments. Salman and Disha Patani have already begun shooting for the movie.
