A petition against Asif Ali Zardari has been filed before the Lahore High Court seeking his trial under treason charges in the wake of his statement against army. A leader of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), Ilyas Gujjar, contended in his petition that the former president committed treason by levelling allegations against the army. He urged the court to order a trial of Zardari under high treason charges.
