Ranbir Kapoor gets candid about doing drugs and his addictions

Ranbir Kapoor, who is currently enjoying the success of his latest release ‘Sanju’, has confessed that just like in the movie, in real life too he has consumed drugs.

Bollywood’s controversy child Sanjay Dutt’s life was not an ordinary one. It included drugs, alcohol, arms act and terrorism, and seems that just Sanjay, Ranbir took has done a few things in life that he is not very proud of.

“I have tried drugs when I was in college and got into bad influence. But I realised that nothing will happen in life if I continue with drugs. When we did that section, I did a lot of research,” Ranbir revealed in an interview to Deccan Chronicle.

He, however, hasn't done any hard drugs but is currently addicted to smoking. “Every man makes mistakes in his life. I am addicted to nicotine now and it’s worse than drugs. [Besides this] I also have addiction for sweets as well,” said Ranbir.

In an earlier interview, Ranbir also revealed his alcohol addiction. “I think I could have an alcohol problem. It is a visual medium and I have to look after myself. I have seen it in my family, I have seen it go the wrong way, so I’m aware I have a drinking problem. But when I shoot, when I work, I don’t drink”.

After the massive success of ‘Sanju’, Ranbir will now be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ alongside Alia Bhatt. He also has ‘Shamshera’ in his kitty alongside Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor.
