Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association (PYMA) has urged the government to take initiative by announcing pro-active economic plan to steer the Country out of current gloom and uncertainty by bolstering trade and Industrial activities to promote and strengthening Export of the Country.
Talking to newspersons here today PYMA Central Chairman Khalil Qaisar Shamas Guccha and Zonal Chairman Adnan Zahid Butt said that yarn merchants and whole business community were grieved at the gruesome terror attack on innocent students of Army Public School Peshawar and extend sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved families. They said that the Army Chief and Government's immediate step in this context were laudable and were unanimously appreciated by all and sundry.
Along with these measures the Government should also announce forward looking economic plan to boost business trade and industrial activity. Substantiating their argument they said that presently an atmosphere of awe and fear were prevailing among the public and business community over expected backlash of Zarb-e-Azb operation of the Army as evidenced in Peshawar, foiled terror attempt in Kotla Arbab and Wagha Border incident. Hence the Government should take extra ordinary security measures to sustain the confidence of public and business community they said.
The requested economic plane could provide direction and assistance to business, industry and exports enabling them to cut cost of production and become competitive in International market against regional rival countries as well as to gain optimum benefit of GSP plus facility granted by European Union they said. In this context they appreciated the reduction in petroleum and electricity prices recently by the Government and hoped that the requested economic plan initiative would serve as a driving force to promote and strengthen the business activity in the Country in the wake of the end of sit ins and protests in the Country.
