SWAT: Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (Retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk Sunday assured that the general election would be held on time on July 25 as he did not see any impediment that could delay the polls.

Talking to the delegations of Swat Press Club here at his residency Gulkada, the caretaker prime minister assured that he would ensure holding of free, fair and transparent election.

He said the caretaker government would support the Election commission of Pakistan to help conduct free and fair general election across the entire country on the announced schedule.

The premier said that peace-loving people of Swat had borne many difficulties in past and also rendered countless sacrifices for peace. He lauded the role of local journalists in the war against terrorism.

The local journalists shared with the caretaker prime minister the problems of the area including dilapidated condition of GT road of Swat and hours long load shedding.

To this, Caretaker Prime Minister Nasir-ul-Mulk said for having come from the same area, he was cognizant of the public issues as well and assured to resolve the problems within his constitutional powers.

The caretaker prime minister arrived his hometown Swat earlier on the day and also visited Rajabad graveyard where he offered Fateha at the graves of his parents.

Later, he met the notables and elders of the valley at his residence.

Earlier, on his arrival at Circuit House, the caretaker prime minister was received by Commissioner Malakand Zaheer ur Islam, Deputy Inspector General of Police Akhtar Hayat Khan and other notables of the area.
