Conducting elections within 60 days imperative for political stability, democracy: Senator

ISLAMABAD: Senator Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Ghous Muhammad Khan Niazi on Friday said that conducting next elections within 60 days was imperative for political stability and continuity in the democratic system.

Talking to a news channel, he said that PML-N government was going to complete its constitutional tenure with success.

Expressing optimism, he said that present leadership would develop consensus with Opposition leader for the name of interim-PM.

Keeping in view the current situation in the country, he said it was the responsibility of all the political parties to exhibit political maturity for avoiding chaos in the system.

Congratulating the political parties for expressing unanimity over the passage of constitutional amendment bill of Federally Administered Tribal Areas, he said that the people of FATA would enjoy equal rights and development in their areas.

To a question Senator Ghous M Khan Niazi said that the people would vote to PML-N in the upcoming election on performance and development works carried out in all parts of the country.
