Pakistan senior middle order batsman Azhar Ali has revealed that his side would be playing ‘attacking cricket’ as they take on England in the upcoming two Tests series against England this month.

Praising his team’s bowling line, Azhar said that they would be eyeing to grab 20 wickets, which is why they are bringing in five bowlers. “Good bowlers always take advantage of early-summer conditions and we have good bowlers,” said Azhar, quoted The Guardian.

“That’s the way we’re thinking. We want to play attacking cricket, we want to take 20 wickets. That’s why we are going with five bowlers and hopefully this side will do well,” he added.

Azhar went on to score 73 runs off 127 deliveries against Leicestershire, hitting 13 boundaries alongside fellow opener Fakhar Zaman, who scored 71 off 98 deliveries, hitting 14 boundaries.

Speaking about Pakistan's premier bowler Mohammad Amir, Ali revealed that the speedster is ‘fine’ and ‘doing his rehab’. “Overall we’re happy with the preparation we’ve had and hopefully that will transfer to the Tests against England. Amir is fine. He bowled very well against Ireland and in the last couple of days he’s been doing his rehab and also some bowling and he’s quite comfortable,” said Ali.

Pakistan will be facing England for the two Test series, with the first Test match scheduled at the historic Lord’s on May 24.
