KARACHI: Prominent Pakistani businessman Shaikh Imtiaz Hussain has once again been appointed as Chairman of the Pakistan–USA Business Council of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), reaffirming his continued leadership and commitment to strengthening economic and commercial relations between Pakistan and the United States.

Shaikh Imtiaz Hussain is a prominent member of Pakistan’s business community and has represented Pakistan at various national and international business forums. As an experienced entrepreneur and business leader, he has remained actively engaged in promoting Pakistan’s exports, foreign investment, trade facilitation and international business partnerships.

Commenting on his reappointment, Hussain said that Pakistan’s leadership has reiterated its commitment to regional peace, stability, constructive bilateral cooperation and economic development, which provides an important foundation for stronger commercial engagement with international partners.

“Pakistan–USA economic relations possess enormous potential, and our objective should be to translate this potential into tangible opportunities for businesses, investors, exporters and entrepreneurs in both countries. I will continue to work extensively to strengthen business-to-business relations and develop new avenues for trade and investment between Pakistan and the United States”, he added.

He added that the Pakistan-USA Business Council would focus on promoting bilateral trade, investment, joint ventures, technology cooperation, market access and business-to-business connectivity, while encouraging greater interaction between Pakistani and American business communities.

“Our vision is to take Pakistan–USA business relations to new heights and establish stronger, sustainable and mutually beneficial economic partnerships. We will actively engage with relevant stakeholders, business organizations, investors and trade institutions in both countries to identify and pursue new opportunities,” he added.

Shaikh ImtiazHussain emphasized that Pakistan’s private sector has significant potential to expand its presence in the U.S. market, particularly in areas including agriculture and horticulture, food processing, information technology, manufacturing, textiles, services and emerging sectors.
