KARACHI: ABHI, the region’s neobank of the future, has announced that its Early Wage Access (EWA) product has received Shariah approval from the Shariah Committee of Badiha Company in KSA, marking an important milestone in Abhi’s commitment to delivering trusted, Shariah-compliant financial solutions in Saudi Arabia

The approval reflects the alignment of Abhi’s Early Wage Access solution with Shariah principles and reinforces the company’s focus on building financial products that combine technology, accessibility, and responsible financial practices.

Through Abhi’s EWA solution, employees can access a portion of their earned salary before their regular payday, giving them greater flexibility in managing their financial needs without having to wait for the traditional salary cycle. By providing access to wages that employees have already earned, Abhi aims to give individuals greater control over their income and support their overall financial well-being.

The Shariah approval further strengthens Abhi’s position as it continues to develop financial solutions designed around the evolving needs of employees and businesses in the Kingdom. As employers increasingly recognize financial wellbeing as an important component of the employee experience, access to flexible and responsible financial tools is becoming an increasingly relevant part of workplace benefits.

Saudi Arabia’s focus on building a more dynamic and inclusive economy under Vision 2030 is also driving innovation across financial services and the workplace. Solutions such as Earned Wage Access can complement traditional payroll structures by giving employees greater flexibility in how they manage their earned income, while enabling employers to offer modern financial wellbeing benefits.

Since its inception in 2021, Abhi has expanded across Pakistan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, serving more than 1 million users and partnering with over 7,000 businesses across the region. Its suite of financial solutions includes Earned Wage Access, Payroll Processing, Payroll Financing, and SME Financing, supporting individuals and businesses with greater access to financial services.
