ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday commended the security forces for successfully conducting an intelligence-based operation against terrorists in Kharan district of Balochistan.
According to a press release issued by the President Secretariat’s Media Wing, the president termed the destruction of hideouts of Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists and the recovery of a large quantity of weapons and ammunition significant achievements.
President Zardari reiterated that continued operations against terrorist elements operating with external support were essential to safeguarding Pakistan’s national security and maintaining peace and stability in the country.
He said the entire nation stood firmly behind the security forces in their fight against terrorism and appreciated their sacrifices and efforts to protect the country.
